The whole episode seemed to fire up the Chiefs. The dubious penalty came one day after another questionable roughing call by referee Jerome Boger on Atlanta’s Grady Jarrett against Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady sealed the Buccaneers’ win over the Falcons. And after the teams traded field goals in the final minutes of the half, leaving the Raiders ahead 20-10, Reid cornered Cheffers and lit into him again as the teams headed to the locker room. Chiefs coach Andy Reid stormed off the sideline to argue. But despite the ball clearly coming out, and the Pro Bowl defensive tackle coming away with it, referee Carl Cheffers threw a penalty flag and called Jones for roughing the passer. It was 17-0 when Kelce finally reached the end zone for the Chiefs, but it appeared as if the momentum had turned when Jones stripped Carr from behind and landed on him. ![]() Adams drew another penalty on Jaylen Watson in the end zone, setting up Jacobs’ short TD plunge. Adams and the Raiders continued to pick on Fenton later in the half, when a pass interference moved Las Vegas deep into Chiefs territory. But rather than run Jacobs up the middle, or sneak with Carr, he aired it out to Adams, who ran past cornerback Rashad Fenton for the 58-yard TD catch. Facing fourth-and-inches in their own territory, McDaniels sent his offense back on the field. The game of twists and turns began with the Raiders failing to score on their opening drive for the first time all season. What he wouldn’t have given for a chance at No 39. Daniel Carlson was three for three on field goals, extending his streak to 38 in a row. But the play was reviewed and Adams failed to get both feet in bounds, and Carr threw incomplete on fourth-and-one with 47 seconds left before the Chiefs ran out the clock.Ĭarr finished with 241 yards passing, and Jacobs ran for 154 yards and a score, as the Raiders (1-4) lost to the Chiefs for the fourth straight time. The Raiders got the ball back one last time with 2:29 left, and a long third-down pass to Adams down the Kansas City sideline appeared to get them in field-goal range. “I liked it, I like being aggressive, especially on the road, I’m all on board,” said Carr Raiders quarterback Derek Carr said he had no issues with McDaniels’ decision to go for two. But rather than kick a tying extra point, Raiders coach Josh McDaniels also went for two, and Josh Jacobs who had shredded the Chiefs defense all night was stuffed at the goal line with 4:29 to go. □: ESPN /EN36cYDzlO- CBS Sports HQ October 11, 2022Īdams’ second TD reception came right after Kelce’s last touchdown catch, when Kansas City (4-1) failed on two-point try that left the score 30-23. The ball came loose and Nick Bolton - who already returned a fumble for a touchdown earlier - picked up the ball and headed to the end zone again. This hit on Derek Carr was called roughing the passer□ The whole catch-or-not debate came up again on Philadelphia’s opening drive of the second half when Hurts threw a short pass to Miles Sanders - who was immediately walloped by L’Jarius Sneed. “It is a catch, or an interception, if, in the process of attempting to possess the ball, a player secures control of the ball prior to it touching the ground,” the NFL Rulebook says, “and that control is maintained during and after the ball has touched the ground.” “What’s a catch ? Lol,” former NFL defensive end and current ESPN analyst Marcus Spears wrote on Twitter, echoing the thoughts of many similarly confused viewers. ![]() It was initially ruled a catch, but overturned on the review. Smith had made an acrobatic grab, securing the ball against his helmet - but the ball moved slightly as he hit the ground. The Eagles were on the opposite end of that near the end of the first half when Hurts’ deep pass to DeVonta Smith was ruled incomplete because he didn’t control the ball as he made contact with the ground.

My recipe, however, has omitted the ‘bad’ ingredients and subbed the remaining ones- for a healthier, dairy-free, eggless, vegan, gluten-free, and even sugar free vanilla wafers recipe. Unfortunately, the original Nilla wafers (once made using shortening, eggs, regular flour, and sugar- plus, of course, vanilla) now include extra ‘bad’ ingredients like palm oil, artificial flavorings, and high fructose corn syrup. Nilla wafers (shortened from ‘vanilla’) are a specific branded product from Nilla, owned by Nabisco. In most countries where ‘wafer’ usually refers to the type of crispy biscuit found within Kit-Kat’s, served alongside ice-cream, and for various other confections – the Nilla cookies I’m referring to look a little like mini vanilla cookies with a crisp, yet slightly soft texture. So, in case you’re wondering what Nilla wafers even are: I sometimes forget that some brands/ products that are SO recognizable and familiar to myself are complete ‘unknowns’ to others. The results, I hope you’ll agree, are perfectly crisp yet tender, packed with vanilla, and delicious! I’ve had massive cravings for banana pudding recently though, homemade vanilla wafers included, so it was officially time to get in the kitchen and adapt these sweet cookies to my needs. Unfortunately, it’s been years since I’ve been able to enjoy these cookies. Plus, this recipe can be made oil-free and nut-free – to suit even more dietary requirements!Īs much as I love a massive chewy, gooey cookie, there is something so more-ish about crispy vanilla wafers. Eat these vanilla cookies as a snack on their own, with drinks, or as part of desserts. I believe that if you love bananas, you can even add these instead of the honey, but since every plant based sweet recipe includes banana, I left it out in this recipe. These vegan vanilla wafers are sweet, crisp, and infused with vanilla flavor and yet 100% egg-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free. I have mixed avocado, banana and chocolate countless times, and the idea to give it a completely different taste, never occurred to me. And oh my, was I amazed by this avocado vanilla pudding! This is the kind of thing that you never knew you needed in your life until you actually tried it. So I added the insides of a fresh vanilla bean, one tablespoon of raw honey, chia seeds, and a superfood powder for an extra touch of healthiness. Simply mixing avocado and almond milk, however, didn’t taste that exciting, so I added some other ingredients to make it even more nutritious and delicious. So of course I was so touched that I now get recipe tips and suggestions from my readers, that I had to give it a try immediately. And I don’t mean the British kind of pudding, which I learned means dessert in general, but I mean the gel-like dessert that comes with different flavors like chocolate or vanilla. The other day, I got an email from a lovely reader, suggesting that I needed to mix avocado with almond milk, because apparently it turns into pudding. ![]() ![]() You may already know that your sump pump requires maintenance, but you may not realize that a sump pump battery backup also requires maintenance.
